"Spring Up Hill for a Cure"
This year we Relay In Honor of the Memory of Patrick Chance

Patrick Chance died on his 9th birthday after a hard fought battle with cancer. Patrick was a vivacious young man who touched the lives of many during his much too short life. I personally never met him and yet he has had a huge impact on my life. What I do know of Patrick is through my father Vinnie Tuzzolino. I know Patrick loved life and the firehouse. He loved it so much that the members of Nanuet department 8 fire company made him an honorary member of their team. My father always told me he was never held back by his disease. He was so full of life, love and happiness which never got tainted even during the worst of times.
My only regret is never officially getting to meet the young hero himself. I call him a hero because he impacted so many and taught them how to love. I know I am personally touched by his courageous journey and would like to honor his name any way possible.
Once again to Patrick’s parents We would first like to express our deepest sympathies. We would also like to show our gratitude to the Chance family for raising such a wonderful little boy. We also thank the Nanuet fire department for being such an inspiration to Patrick and allowing your members to share the love he radiated with their families.
